MSci Computer Science at the University of Nottingham.

Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.
— William Faulkner

About

Hello! My name is Felix (fiːlɪks), though online I go by Enfey. I am a 4th year MSci Computer Science student at the University of Nottingham.

My current focus is my master's dissertation, Eidolon: Cross-Vendor Translation Validation of GPU Collective Operations in MLIR. The project aims to formalise the semantics of GPU collective operations and develop an SMT-based translation validator to verify that their lowerings from the gpu dialect preserve the intended behaviour across NVIDIA, AMD and SPIR-V targets.

My academic interests include:

  • Formal verification
  • Compilers, toolchains, and programming languages
  • Hardware/software co-design
  • Heterogeneous computing
  • Concurrency

Tlaloc

My previous work involved co-leading a program linking and loading research group with Steven Bagley, resulting in Tlaloc: a set of heavily optimised binary utilities for ARM32/AArch64 over ELF. These include a musl-compliant hardened linker and a readelf utility, usable both as a CLI tool and as an API for instrumenting ELF objects.
